History
In 1967…
Although the company was only founded in 1967, the first production began in 1952, when the Vignali brothers, Ettore and Roberto, continued their father’s legacy in the province of Pesaro Urbino, which was known throughout Europe for its sulphur mining. Until 1988, their focus was on the planning, construction and installation of stationary and mobile plants. The company gained its reputation for high quality through its experience in crushing, sorting and washing plants, catering to both small plants and large quarries.
Focus on demanding materials
REV machines are characterised by their robustness and outstanding quality, which has allowed REV to quickly establish itself on the market since the beginning of production. Specializing in the processing of particularly difficult materials, which are normally a great challenge to process, the company has established itself as a producer of high-quality Italian products.

Rev Today
In 2020, the two partners Hermann Piffer and Stefan Hartl decided to take over the historic Italian brand oil mill company, to revive it and bring it back to the market as a quality Italian product.
Hermann Piffer is the administrator of the historic Alto Adige company Comac Srl, direct importer of the Hitachi brand since 2020, and historical dealer for over 40 years, in Italy for the Trentino-Alto Adige and Vento regions. Together with his father Johann Piffer and his brother Stefan Piffer they decide to invest in the historic Rev brand, certain of the quality of the product already offered to their market in previous years as resellers.
Following the dissolution in 2003 between FIAT and HITACHI, Comac became the exclusive distributor of the HITACHI product for the Triveneto area and this important step led Comac to establish a widespread sales and assistance network, also relying on various external workshops, to then open in 2005 the Boara Pisani (PD) branch. After the economic crisis, the branch in Egna (BZ) remains, which combines the sale, rental and repair of earthmoving machinery in one place.
In 2020, after the redistribution of the territories by Hitachi HCM Europe, Comac reacquired the Padua branch and thus also managed the Veneto territory. In 2022 and 2023 Comac introduces two demolition excavators to the Italian market by importing them from KTEG Gmbh.

Stefan Hartl
Stefan Hartl began designing the first tracked mobile crusher in 1987, at that time still in the family business Hartl Powercrusher, together with his father and uncle, at the same time as REV.
At that time, Hartl Powercrusher had already been in existence for over 15 years as a mechanical engineering company, but originally came from the quarrying business for Donau Schotter.
From 1995, Stefan Hartl took over the technical management of Hartl Powercrusher until 2010, when Hartl Powercrusher was bought by the Swedish group Altlas Copco.
Since 2010, he has primarily developed recycling systems for steel mill waste, which are now in operation worldwide.
